Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction and the French Ministry of Transport have signed a Memorandum of Understanding focused on high-speed rail development and urban transit modernization. The bilateral partnership establishes a direct consulting framework for engineering design and project execution.

Integrating European Signaling and Safety Technologies

The agreement focuses on technology integration across rail signaling, automated traffic management, and rolling stock maintenance. French transport consortia will provide technical assistance to optimize safety protocols and grid interconnections for regional rail extensions.

Accelerating Sustainable Mass Urban Transit

Beyond national high-speed lines, the partnership supports municipal transit master plans in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. By deploying eco-designed transit infrastructure, both governments aim to alleviate urban traffic congestion and reduce municipal carbon emissions.
